DREAMS LANDING PRIVATE PARTY POLICY/RULES/GUIDELINES

1. These rules govern only parties using the pool and pool recreation room.  Dreams Landing Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Marina Rules, etc. govern other situations.

2. The Board has determined that, for use of the pool/room during scheduled operating hours, groups of 12 or smaller do not constitute a party and, therefore, do not fall under these rules.

3. Only one party involving the pool/pool room will be permitted per day, even if there is no conflict with respect to time.  Use of the facility will be on a first come, first served basis.

4. During hours when the pool is scheduled to be open, parties involving the pool/room may begin no earlier than 6:30 p.m..  In the case where a party overlaps hours when the pool is scheduled to be open for community use, party givers must share the pool and room with residents and their guests during these hours.  NOTE: When the pool is scheduled to be closed for community use, the 6:30 p.m. restriction on starting time does not apply.

Exception to 6:30 p.m. Start Time:  Parties for children, such as birthday parties, may be held on weekdays between the hours of noon and 4:00 p.m..  The Board requests, but does not require, that such parties be held during these hours on Mondays when the pool otherwise is scheduled to be closed.

5. In the interest of equal treatment for all, the Board is not inclined to grant other exceptions, although it will consider requests.

6. All those wanting to schedule the pool/pool room for a party must complete and have approved the request form on the reverse.

7. In addition to cleaning up immediately after the party, party givers are required to police the area, including lawns and parking lots, for trash, including cigarette butts, by 8:00 a.m. the next morning.

8. Private party requests involving the pool room will not be approved for parties during times when the pool bath facilities are winterized.  (DL Board, April, 2001)

9. Diligent voluntary compliance with these guidelines is essential. There are some in the community who believe current party policies are too permissive.  Failure to comply will cause the Board to receive complaints and could force a tightening in restrictions on private parties.
